Shipping
We take every precaution to see that you receive your item(s) in the condition in which they were shipped. (We are also Buyers on eBay and are constantly amazed at how items arrive here.) A long-ago boss taught me that shipping is not a task, it is a science. We have never had a shipping problem in 12+ years on eBay, and 10+ years on Amazon and Half.Com. Insurance is included in the shipping price on higher valued items. IF YOU WOULD LIKE COMBINED SHIPPING,
PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE PAYING.
A Few Notes Re. Shipping?.
It is my unscientific estimation that approximately 80% of eBay users are ?buyers? only. As ?buyers? and not ?sellers? many are totally oblivious to the intricacies and costs involved in shipping.
Did you know that every time the USPS announces that the first class rate is being increased by a penny or two they also tinker with, sometimes dramatically, the rates on all their other services? It?s almost impossible to ship anything ?Parcel Post? any longer. They?ve made those rates about the same, or pennies cheaper, than Priority Mail. Priority Mail is a fancy term for ?first class.? That mail gets handled no differently than your standard first class rate mail. Have you noticed that while Flat Rate Priority boxes have gone up in price- they are now zoned- the size of the boxes has grown smaller? Anything mailed with a stiff insert inside the envelope- such as those used with a photograph- pushes the envelope in to a parcel rate, not ordinary first class.
Did you know that for the past 18 months eBay has been taking a 10% commission on postage rates paid by the ?buyer?? This was done to combat those Sellers who would market, say, a pair of new tennis shoes for .99 with a .50 shipping charge. So, if we charge .00 shipping on a photograph, we only net .60.
Did you know that the PayPal fees are 3% on the total transaction- which includes the shipping charges? So, our example of the .00 photograph now actually nets us .48.
On some shipments we add insurance, through Auctiva. This does not factor in any postage on the package, as it is a separate charge paid to Auctiva.
All supplies used in shipping- cellophane tape, glue sticks, envelopes, labels, bubble wrap and padded mailers, have increased exponentially in the last three years.
It is our goal to try and break even on shipping. On a huge number of recent transactions- especially those involving packages and boxes- we have been eating a significant portion of what we actually charged and netted.
Thank you.

About Us
We have been actively involved in the memorabilia business since 1972. We have been booth holders at the National Sports Collectors Convention since the 1980s. I authored the first book on the sports collectibles hobby which was nationally distributed: "Sports Memorabilia" released by The Wallace-Homestead Book Co. in 1976. We are owners of the Open Wheel Collectibles and Sports Memorabilia Expo which is held annually the few days prior to the running of the Indianapolis 500. We were recently appointed to a committee for The Sugar Bowl. We do catalog work for two of the largest collectibles auction houses. Enough said here, we don't want to bore you!
