Most of the clothes we are selling are vintage and used. Only a few are new but most have been worn so expect some wear. Any major flaws or damage will be listed in the description. Our measurements are pretty accurate but can vary by ¼”. We take the measurements for your benefit so please check them against your own or check them against an item you already own. Even though it is your favorite brand and your size, it may not fit the same!
This is a FANTASTIC vintage 1970s top coat or overcoat by Hart Schaffner & Marx, made in the USA. It is made of 100% Wool tweed with an acetate lining, a medium weight coat. It is a tweed in gray with a black lining. This coat has a button front with marbled buttons, a wide collar and notched lapel, long sleeves with three buttons, two lower front pockets with flaps, one breast pocket, one interior pocket, vented back and it is fully lined. It is not marked but fits like a men's size 40 fitted. PLEASE CHECK THE MEASUREMENTS.
Shoulders: 18", Armpit to Armpit: 22", Waist: 21", Sleeve Length (from Shoulder): 27.5", Length at the Back: 43". All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and on the outside, double where necessary. This coat is in very good vintage condition, NO HOLES, RIPS, STAINS, SNAGS OR REPAIRS. It comes from a smoke-free home. We do recommend that all pre-owned clothing be washed or dry cleaned before worn.
