the boards & text block are secure, however, front board just a bit slack, there are a few inches of separation at the title page, and the text block is cracked [ but holding] once. The gilt lettering on the cover and spine is all but gone. No writing that I saw. Just a few small rips. One dog-eared page. A few pages with small edge chips [ just a few in front]. Apx. 40 pages with a small worm hole [ see last picture]
Pages are generally very clean but toned
around the edges- just a few spots. Spine ends just a bit bumped under. Back cover looks very good for its age - a few small spots. Tips look very good.

and remember
-this book is very old and may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke] - I have found that dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! some of my books get sold right away so please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!  As far as I can tell -this book smells fine.
