GEN 1 - Refers to the first 151 pokemon in the Pokemon Index. It includes all the original Pokemon that came out in the original game boy game (including Mew). While these Pokemon have been reprinted in modern sets (for example, you will find Charizard (a Gen 1 Pokemon), these other Charizards look different and are not from the Wizards of the Coast Era and are not vintage. The set that I am selling is not just a Gen 1 set, but contains cards all from the Wizards of the Coast Era; every card is vintage.  A generation 1 set of Pokemon must contain cards from multiple "expansions/sets" because there is no one set with all Gen 1 Pokemon. Therefore, this set has cards from sets like the Original Base Set, Base 2, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, etc.
To  sum it up, these are the Vintage cards that 90s kids collected. They are not modern (less expensive cards). These are Holy Grail cards of the hobby!
