This is a beautiful keepsake from the original release of Pinocchio.
A terrific gift for a collector of Disney, books, etc.
This version of the book has the unique half-page insert featuring Monstro the Whale. Also includes Pinocchio riding on the back of a giant white dove (actually the Blue Fairy; enlarged enough to carry Pinocchio) to rescue his father from the belly of the whale. The scene was actually deleted from the film but as the book was released before the film, it was too late to edit the publication and delete the reference.
The dust cover is all intact but has chipping and small tears around the edges. The book is excellent. Binding is nice and tight. From estate collection of rare books.
