Florentine Master Carver Natural Wood Statue w/3 Putti's & Baby in Creche

This Figurine of 3 Putti 's and the Baby could be on display all year not only during the holidays was carved by a Master Carver in Florence. After my trip the elderly Artisan was written up in a major article in the New York Times in the 80's. Sorry that I have misplaced the article over the years. He specialized in Angels, and Putti's and religious carvings, mostly painted , several pieces in his store were still plain as this piece is.
It's natural wood with no finishes applied and it was purchased unpainted. Note the detail of the carving and the beauty in the faces,fingers and hair of the Putti's and the Baby. There is a small break in the wing-see pictures but it's visible when you view the piece and where the break is.
