    Description

Pictured is the 1936 1st ever hardback book of Donald Duck.  Published by Grosset & Dunlap with illustrations by the staff of Walt Disney, this book is a reprint of the 1935 linen book (16 pgs) with the story completely rewritten and black and white illustrations added to the existing color pictures.  The book features Donald Duck and has appearances of Mickey Mouse and his nephews, Morty and Ferdie.
Condition is fair with 36 pages (front and back) complete.  The pages are made of a heavy paper. The covers have considerable wear and the spine is held together with masking tape. No dust jacket is included.  It measures 9 1/2" x 10 1/2".  A child has colored with crayons on almost every page.  I don't know if it is possible to remove the crayon, but it might be worth a try as this book is extremely rare.
